These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oloriessence website

(oloriessence.co.uk) and the purchase of any African foodstuffs (“Products”) or booking of any professional hairstyling services (“Services”).

1. Basis of Sale and Service

1.1 Products (African Foodstuffs)

A contract for the sale of Products is formed when we dispatch your order. We reserve the right to decline any order. Product images are for illustration only; actual items (especially fresh produce) may vary slightly in appearance.

1.2 Services (Hairstyling Bookings)

A contract for Services is formed when you successfully book an appointment and a required deposit is paid. The deposit is non-refundable if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice or fail to show up, as detailed in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

2. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in British Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders or bookings already confirmed. Payment for Products must be made in full at checkout. Services require a deposit at booking, with the balance due upon completion of the service.

3. Product Availability and Quality

We strive to ensure all Products, particularly fresh produce, are of the highest quality. However, all Products are subject to availability.

  • Perishable Goods: We take utmost care in packaging and delivery. The risk of loss or deterioration of perishable goods passes to you upon delivery. You must inspect all perishable items immediately upon receipt.
  • Allergens: It is your responsibility to review product descriptions for allergen information. Oloriessence cannot guarantee that products have been processed in an allergen-free environment.

4. Dissatisfaction with Services

In line with our Returns & Refunds Policy, monetary refunds are not offered for completed Services. Any dissatisfaction must be raised with the stylist before leaving the premises. We may offer a correction or adjustment within 7 days at the stylist’s discretion.

5. User Account and Conduct

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details. You agree not to use the website for any illegal or unauthorised purpose, including the submission of false or misleading information for bookings or purchases.

6. Intellectual Property

The content, design, trademarks, and all other intellectual property rights on the Oloriessence website are owned by or licensed to Oloriessence. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Oloriessence shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the website, purchase of Products, or receipt of Services. Our total liability in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall be limited to the price paid for the Products or Services in question.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Thank you for shopping with Oloriessence. We hope you are satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not completely happy, this policy outlines the process for returns and refunds concerning physical products (African foodstuffs) and booked hairstyling services from Oloriessence.

1. Product Returns (African Foodstuffs)

1.1 Non-Perishable Goods (e.g., Dry Grains, Oils, Packaged Foods)

Eligibility

Item must be unused, unopened, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition.

Process

Contact Customer Service within the return window to initiate the process. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Refund

Once the return is inspected and approved, a refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days, excluding the original shipping cost.

1.2 Perishable and Fresh Goods (e.g., Fruits & Produce)

Due to the nature of fresh food items, returns for change of mind or subjective taste preferences are not accepted.

If your perishable goods arrive damaged, spoiled, or expired, you must notify Oloriessence Customer Service within 24 hours of receiving the order.

Evidence Required

You must provide clear photographic evidence of the damage or quality issue.

Resolution

Upon successful verification, Oloriessence will offer either a full refund for the affected item(s) or a replacement in your next order, at our discretion.

2. Hairstyling Service Bookings

This section pertains to confirmed appointments for our professional hairstyling services.

2.1 Service Cancellations and Rescheduling

The deposit will be refunded in full or transferred to a rescheduled appointment.

Less than 48 hours before appointment

The deposit is non-refundable but may be partially applied to a future booking at the stylist’s discretion.

No-Show

The deposit is forfeited, and a future booking may require payment in full upfront.

2.2 Refunds for Completed Services

Oloriessence does not offer monetary refunds for completed hairstyling services. If a client is dissatisfied with a service, they must bring the concern to the stylist’s attention before leaving the premises. If an issue is identified, the stylist may offer a free adjustment or correction within 7 days of the original appointment. 

Shipping and Delivery Policy

This policy covers the shipping and delivery of African foodstuffs purchased through the Oloriessence website.

1. Delivery Coverage

We offer delivery across the majority of the United Kingdom. At checkout, you will be prompted to enter your address to confirm eligibility and calculated shipping options.

2. Order Processing Time

  • Standard Processing: Orders are typically processed and prepared for dispatch within 1 to 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Perishable Goods: Orders containing fresh and perishable items are processed quickly and dispatched on days that ensure minimal transit time, usually avoiding weekend deliveries where possible to maintain freshness.

3. Shipping Methods and Times

We use reputable third-party couriers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your items. Available methods and estimated transit times are displayed at checkout.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the total weight and size of your order, the chosen shipping method, and your delivery address. We may offer free shipping promotions from time to time, which will be applied automatically at checkout.

5. Delivery and Risk

  • Risk of Loss: The risk of damage or loss of the Products passes to you upon delivery.
  • Proof of Delivery: Our couriers may require a signature or may leave the package in a safe place or with a neighbour if a prior agreement has been made.
  • Fresh Produce Responsibility: For fresh produce, it is critical that you ensure someone is available to receive the delivery or retrieve it immediately from the safe place, as delayed retrieval may compromise quality. We are not responsible for spoilage if a delivery attempt failed or if the package was left unattended for a prolonged period following delivery confirmation.

6. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to the courier’s website to monitor its progress.
